Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hor Namhong has received Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia H.E. Kim Weon-jin who will end his diplomatic mission here shortly.
In the meeting taking place in Phnom Penh yesterday, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister spoke highly of South Korean government's assistance to Cambodia, particularly for 2016-2017 covering areas such as rural development, health, public works, human resource development, and beyond.
Thanks to increasing cooperation of the two friends, he added, the Royal Government of Cambodia in 2016 decided to provide three-year visa to all Korean investors to ease their investment in the country.
From his end, H.E. Ambassador thanked H.E. Hor Namhong as well as Cambodia at large for the good collaboration and warm hospitality.
He underlined that Cambodia-Korea strategic partnership will be established, and in 2018, the Government of Korea will increase quotas for Cambodian workers in the country.
As the two countries' diplomatic relations turn 20 this year, South Korea has pledged to help renovate Cambodia's National Road 48, linking National Road 4, at Sre Ambel to Koh Kong province commencing next year, and provided US$350 million worth loan for 2016-2017.
