Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth has discussed bilateral cooperation with newly appointed Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Eldeen Husaini Bin Mohd Hashim.
The discussion took place recently at the ministry here in Phnom Penh when the deputy prime minister received the Malaysian ambassador.
Starting with welcoming and congratulating H.E. Eldeen Husaini Bin Mohd Hashim for his assignment in Cambodia, H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth spoke highly of bilateral diplomatic and trade relationship between the ASEAN countries.
Relationship between Cambodia and Malaysia has lasted for a long time within bilateral, regional and global frameworks, and economic, finance, trade and investment cooperation of the two countries continue to flourish, added the deputy prime minister.
From his side, the Malaysian Ambassador thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its strong support to Malaysian businesses operating in Cambodia, especially in the areas of infrastructure, construction, tourism, health and digital economy.
H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth also shared with his guest comprehensive reforms to promote trade and investment in Cambodia led by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
Both sides look forward to further boost cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia that will mutually benefit the two countries and peoples.
