The dollar remained flat in value against the rupee in the interbank market, dealers said on Thursday. It started the day’s trading at Rs 101.50 for buying and closed at Rs 101.50 for buying compared to the previous trading session and closed at Rs 101.70 for selling.
The euro stood flat against rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 111.66 for buying, with correction it closed at Rs 111.01 for buying and at Rs 111.22 for selling. The pound sterling remained minus against the local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 158.73 for buying, with 10 paisas change closed at Rs 158.63 for buying and Rs 158.95 for selling.
Open market: The dollar remained plus against the rupee, dealers said. It started the trading at Rs 102.80 for buying, closed at Rs 103 for buying after 20 paisas change and closed at Rs 103.25 for selling. The euro remained minus against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 112 for buying and closed for buying at Rs 111.25 and closed at Rs 112.50 for selling. The pound minus against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 159.50, down by 50 paisas and closed at Rs 159 for buying and closed at Rs 159.25 for selling.
