Being authorized by the Hong Kong Department of Health, the new cold room has the same modern security alarm system and professional temperature sensor alarms as the existing cold room. Both cold rooms are fully compliant with the highest international quality standards from the World Health Organization (WHO), including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP).
In addition and in order to cater for storage demand for vaccine and diagnostic reagents, a new freezer room is in operation as of December 1, 2014. The new freezer room is ISO certified, EC full quality assurance certified and has an advanced internal and external alarm system.
