CPP, CPV, LPRP Agree to Forster Cooperation

The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) have agreed to increase their cooperation in all domains and to strengthen and expand the effectiveness of the existing mechanisms.
The agreement was made by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of CPP; H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of CPV; and H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of LPRP, in their summit in Hanoi, Vietnam on Sept. 26, according to a press release of CPP issued last night.
The heads of the three ruling parties also agreed to continue their consultations for future cooperation for the benefit of the three nations’ peoples aiming at maintain peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
They spoke highly of the significance of this summit, and informed each other of the situation of their respective parties and countries, including party works, socio-economic development and the fight against COVID-19. They reviewed their past cooperation and discussed their cooperation orientations.
On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, also Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, paid courtesy calls on H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, State President of Vietnam, and H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam.
