COVID-19 Vaccination in Cambodia Remains Free

AKP Phnom Penh--The vaccination against COVID-19 in Cambodia will continue to be free, regardless of race, religion and political tendency.

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen made the announcement while presiding over here this morning the graduation ceremony of more than 2,000 students of the Royal School of Administration.

A priority has been given to vaccine reserve until 2026, the Premier stressed, pointing out that there will be in total 104 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be reserved for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen added that the existing vaccine in stock will be used for 2023.

According to the Prime Minister, a total of 11 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine are in stock, and 15 million more doses will be from China, 5.5 million from the U.S., and 0.5 million from Australia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen called on all competent local authorities to further encourage the public to get the booster doses against the COVID-19 pandemic.
