Cambodia this morning registered 358 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), down 122 cases compared to early this week; bringing the tally to 21,499.
Of the new patients, 350 are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident and the rest are imported, pointed out the Ministry of Health in a press release.
At the same time, it added, 348 patients have been successfully cured; the total recovered cases rose to 9,867 with 147 fatal cases, including 5 new deaths.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The total confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
