COVID-19: Daily Cases Keep Falling

The daily cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia continue to drop with the detection of only 109 new cases this morning; the tally stood at 118,220.

These are PCR test results, underlined a press release of the Ministry of Health, adding that 17 of the new infections were imported while the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

Besides, it pointed out, 272 new recoveries, but 8 new deaths (5 of them have not been vaccinated) were reported; bringing the total recovered and death cases to 114,063 and 2,766, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
