COVID-19: Daily Cases Jump to Nearly 700; Tally 102,136

Cambodia this morning recorded 693 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); bringing the tally to 102,136, the Ministry of Health said.

The source added that of the new infections, 112 were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

Meanwhile, it continued, 11 new deaths were announced, but 443 more patients have been cured; the total death and recovered cases in the Kingdom rose to 2,078 and 95,810, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
