Cambodia this morning recorded 935 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally jumped to 56,122, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.
Among the new infections, 155 are imported, and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 outbreak, it pointed out.
Meanwhile, the ministry reported the recoveries of 654 more patients; the total cured cases in the Kingdom stood at 48,040.
Besides, 31 more people have lost their lives due to COVID-19; bringing the death toll to 779.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
