Ministry of Health has announced the detection of 83 new cases of COVID-19; the national counts stood at 118,870.
According to the ministry’s press release made public this morning, these are PCR test results. Among the new infections, 9 were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
At the same time, 96 new recoveries and 6 new deaths (3 of them have not been vaccinated) were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases to 115,207 and 2,813, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
