The Ministry of Health this morning announced that 578 more COVID-19 patients have successfully been cured; bringing the total recovered cases in Cambodia to 94,904.

But at the same time, it continued, 657 new cases were reported, of which 153 were imported.

The national counts thus jumped to 100,790, including 17,186 imported cases, it added.

Moreover, there were nine new deaths; the total death cases rose to 2,058, the ministry pointed out.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
