COVID-19: 29 New Infections, All Omicron

Cambodia detected 29 new cases of COVID-19, of which 11 were locally transmitted and the rest were imported; the tally thus rose to 120,825.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning, the new confirmed cases were all of Omicron variant; bringing the total Omicron cases in Cambodia to 372, including 75 Omicron community cases.

Besides, the ministry registered 16 new recoveries, and zero new COVID-19-related death for 12 days in a row; the total cured and death cases stood at 117,118 and 3,015, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
