COVID-19: 29 New Cases, but 26 New Recoveries and No New Death

Cambodia registered 29 new infections of COVID-19; all of Omicron variant; of which 22 were locally transmitted and 7 others were imported, according to the Ministry of Health’s press release issued this morning.

The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally rose to 136,146, including 15,693 Omicron cases (14,343 Omicron community cases).

Meanwhile, the ministry reported 26 more recoveries and zero new death; the total cured cases and death toll stood at 132,851 and 3,056, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
