COVID-19: 19 More Omicron Community Cases Detected

Cambodia detected 37 new cases of Omicron, a new COVID-19 variant of concern, of which 19 were locally transmitted and 18 were imported, the Ministry of Health announced in a press release issued this morning.
The COVID-19 tally in the Kingdom now increased to 120,914, including 461 Omicron cases (122 Omicron community cases).
At the same time, the ministry recorded 16 new recoveries and zero new COVID-19-related death for 15 days in a row; the total cured and death cases stood at 117,162 and 3,015, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
