The Ministry of Health announced the detection of 111 new cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia this morning; bringing the national counts to 118,111.
These are PCR test results, said the ministry in a press release, underlining that 11 of the new infections were imported while the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
Meanwhile, there were 264 new recoveries, but 7 new deaths (6 of them have not been vaccinated); the total recovered and death cases rose to 113,791 and 2,758, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
