The Rattanakiri Trade Fair 2018 has been taking place in Banlung city of Rattanakiri northeastern province, from Mar. 14 to 18, according to the Ministry of Commerce in a news release.
The five-day fair is aimed to show off the provincial potential products and services so as to attract more investment and create better business environment in the province as well as to ease private sector in their business and to expand markets, said H.E. Nhem Samoeun, Rattanakiri Provincial Deputy Governor.
Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce H.E. Veng Sothy who presided over the event's opening ceremony said that the fair is a main trade forum for businessmen to study and exchange ideas for business partnership and experience sharing toward the creation of new products with high quality and competitive price, as well as in response to local demand and export in the future.
On the occasion, H.E. Veng Sothy encouraged all businessmen to take the chance to build long-term business relation.
Different products ranging from rice, fruits, vegetables to wine and toothpaste have been displaying on 71 booths during the trade fair organised by the Ministry of Commerce in cooperation with the provincial authorities.
