SAN FRANCISCO, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — CloudPassage today announced the company has selected Mitch Bishop as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Bishop has more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience with a proven track record of driving high-growth enterprise software companies across a variety of disciplines. His top priorities include building brand recognition and driving sales growth.
“We’re pleased to welcome Mitch to the executive team,” said Robert Thomas, CEO at CloudPassage. “His expertise in scaling companies will prove invaluable as we continue to grow aggressively. The market for cloud security solutions is building, so this is exactly the right time to bring on a CMO that has not only exceptional experience and leadership skills, but also a deep understanding of effective collaboration between sales and marketing.”
Before joining CloudPassage, Bishop was CMO at Moovweb, DNN Corp. and iRise, where he also managed inside sales. At Moovweb, Bishop helped increased the company’s inbound lead volume five fold in 18 months and positioned it for a successful round of Series B funding in 2013. During his tenure at iRise, he helped grow the company’s revenue ten-fold by creating the market for software visualization. Earlier in his career Bishop held senior marketing and sales positions at Ingres, Wind River Systems, Sybase and Scopus.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Robert and the team at CloudPassage,” said Bishop. “Given the strong growth of cloud computing investments by enterprises of all sizes, there’s never been a stronger need to give security teams a new way to handle this disruptive force. We have amazing customers that are transforming their security functions into true business enablers while at the same time protecting critical assets, which is a testament to the speed, agility and depth of our platform.”
