Rehabilitated Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge, known as Chroy Changvar Bridge I, has been scheduled to open for temporary use before the Cambodian New Year celebration to be observed in mid-April.
The information was notified recently by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, following its monitoring of the on-going rehabilitation process led by Acting Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Tauch Chankosal.
According to H.E. Tauch Chankosal, the rehabilitation of the bridge has achieved by 97 percent and it is expected to be fully completed in mid-June.
Funded by the Government of Japan, restoration of Chroy Changvar Bridge I costs about US$33 million.
