A group of about 100 Chinese business people have explored tourism investment opportunities in Cambodia.
The update was shared via a notification from the Ministry of Tourism, underlining that the minister H.E. Thong Khon received the visiting investors and briefed them on the Kingdom's tourism business openings, in Phnom Penh yesterday.
The investors, added the source, are from Beijing and Hong Kong of the People's Republic of China.
Through the minister's presentation, the Chinese investment delegates learned various tourism trends, including innovation and digitalisation of the sector.
H.E. Thong Khon also underlined that Cambodia is currently committed to promoting green and smart tourism for sustainable growth.
The exposure session was made possible through a cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
As it now stands, China is the biggest tourism and investment partner of Cambodia.
