Cambodia's Ministry of National Defence is going to receive some 70 armored vehicles, mine clearance machines and other machines from the Chinese Ministry of National Defence in coming March, according to local media reports.
The donation, which reflects the good relations between Cambodian and Chinese armies, will be made at the time when both countries conduct a joint military drill dubbed Golden Dragon.
This is the second joint military exercise which will focus on anti-terrorism and emergency rescue. The drill will be attended by 280 Cambodian and 190 Chinese armed personnel.
This forthcoming military exercise is aimed to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Cambodia and China and to boost their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation.
The first Golden Dragon military drill was conducted in December 2016.
