China Mulls Investment in Cambodia’s Coffee Production

A Chinese company is interested in investing in Cambodia’s coffee processing for domestic supply and export.

The interest was underlined by a delegation of Chinese investors in a meeting with H.E. Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.

Noting Cambodia’s potential, the company will invest in coffee planting, processing, supplying to domestic market and exporting.

H.E. Veng Sakhon expressed his strong support for the investment project, stressing it will promote Cambodia’s coffee production, create jobs, and provide added value for the product.

The minister pledged to cooperate with the firm during their investment.
