CDC Endorses Almost US$80 Million Investment Projects

Six new investment projects worth in total US$79.9 million have been approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), according to the council’s press release of issued this morning.

The newly-approved projects are expected to generate nearly 2,741 jobs for the locals, said the same source.

Located in the provinces of Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang and Kandal, and Phnom Penh capital, the six investment projects will cover can, plastic bag, furniture and cloth making, bamboo processing, and car assembly, it added.

Such investment demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
