CDC Approves US$3.3 billion worth Investment Projects in First Three Quarters

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved a total of 134 investment projects with a cumulative investment amount of US$3.3 billion in the January-September period.

Number of investment projects decreased by 24 percent compared to the same period last year and the total investment capital dropped by 48 percent, according to a CDC’s report.

The approved investment projects generated about 85,572 jobs.

Of the projects, 101 with US$1.4 billion investment capital are located outside the special economic zones (SEZs) and 33 others worth US$1.9 billion are situated inside the SEZs.

Last year, CDC granted licences to 238 investment projects with a total registered capital of US$8.2 billion.
