Cambodia’s Strong Political Environment to Attract More Foreign Investments

Cambodia is committed to stabilise firm political environment to attract more foreign investments including from China.
The commitment was underlined by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng while presiding over a welcoming ceremony for the new member of the 2nd mandate’s Jiangsu Entrepreneurs Association in Cambodia here in Phnom Penh recently.
Samdech Sar Kheng spoke highly of the good collaboration between Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China, including Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province and Jiangsu province of China.
Through the cooperation, continued the deputy prime minister, the Cambodia-China trade volume is expected to reach US$10 billion by 2023.
He was also positive that Cambodia will attract more investors from Jiangsu province, especially China and the world.
According to Samdech Sar Kheng, as of the first semester of 2021, China’s investment in Cambodia topped 1st and the bilateral trade volume valuated US$5 billion, up 31 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
