Cambodian youth delegates who have been selected to attend the 45th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme (45h SSEAYP) in Japan, from Oct. 23 to Dec. 12, paid a courtesy call on Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol, at the ministry office yesterday.
On the occasion, the Minister briefed the delegates about achievements and ongoing reforms of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport for the 6th mandate.
H.E. Sun Chanthol advised them to maintain their best behaviour and a positive attitude towards others so as to gain the respect of other participants as they are Cambodia's goodwill ambassadors, as well as to introduce the other participants about Cambodia's culture, reputation, and heritage. He hoped they continue to keep in contact with, and develop long-lasting friendships with the other participants in the spirit of ASEAN brotherhood.
SSEAYP was created in 1974 to foster friendship and greater understanding among youths from ASEAN and Japan as well as to promote regional cooperation.
