Cambodian migrant workers in the Republic of Korea (RoK) have been praised for their good attitude, patience, capacity, and high attention to their jobs.
The appreciation was shared by H.E. Oh Nak-young, RoK Ambassador to Cambodia, while seeing off 32 Cambodian migrant workers for RoK, at Phnom Penh International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
He advised the Cambodian workers to seek support from the Foreign Worker Protection Centre if they face any problem during their stay in Korea.
H.E. Heng Sour, Spokesperson of the Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, said that up to now, Cambodia has sent more than 60,000 workers to South Korea, most of them are employed in the areas of industry, agriculture, and construction.
According to the quota for 2019, we can send some more workers, between 4,000 and 4,500, to Korea, he underlined, lauding the good foreign worker management system in Korea thanks to the establishment of at least 40 Foreign Worker Protection Centres across the country.
