Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), has received visiting Mr. Marwan Jilani, Head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Bangkok Country Cluster Support Team.
In the meeting taking place here in Phnom Penh yesterday, Mr. Marwan Jilani spoke highly of the CRC's endeavour in humanitarian activities that contribute indispensably to the country's poverty reduction.
Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen briefed her guest on other key roles of CRC in social works, including fighting against HIV/AIDS, improving child and maternity health care, and beyond.
She underlined the need of CRC for technical and financial support from development partners like the IFRC to bring its humanitarian activities to another level.
In response, the IFRC's senior official pledged to further strengthen and expand cooperation between the two entities, especially in promoting more partnership for CRC's new projects.
He thanked the CRC president for her warm hospitality in order to exchange visions and access the demands for the organisation's humanitarian activities now and in the future.
