Cambodian PM to Participate in Virtual ASEAN Summits and Related Summits This Week

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will participate in the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits and related Summits to be held on Oct. 26-28 via videoconference.

The information was shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a press release issued this morning, adding that the Premier’s participation will be made at the invitation of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

According to the same source, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will deliver his addresses at the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits; 22nd ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Summit; 24th ASEAN-China Summit; 9th ASEAN-U.S. Summit; 24th ASEAN-Japan Summit; 1st ASEAN-Australia Summit; 24th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit; 16th East Asia Summit; 18th ASEAN-India Summit; and 4th ASEAN-Russia Summit to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Dialogue Relations.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also make an address at the Closing Ceremony on Oct. 28, where Brunei will handover ASEAN Chairmanship for 2022 to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, and other senior government officials.
