Cambodian PM Receives Newly Appointed Thai Ambassador

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received here this morning H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor, newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia.

In the meeting, H,E. Cherdkiat Atthakor congratulated Cambodia on its achievements last year, especially on the successful hosting of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits and wished Cambodia more success in the organisation of the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023 and the National Election in July, according to H.E. Sry Thamrong, Minister Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed thanks to H.E. Ambassador for his congratulations and wishes. He also spoke highly of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s contribution to human resource development in the Cambodian provinces of Kampong Thom and Kampong Speu provinces as well as for her scholarships to Cambodian students.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen wished to see Cambodia and Thailand hold a military drill on emergency response along the border.

Besides, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Thai Ambassador exchanged views on joint border development projects, border demarcation, mines and UXO clearance along the border, opening of more border checkpoints, and so on.
