Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia has received separate courtesy calls by different foreign dignitaries, on the sidelines of the 2nd Asia Pacific Summit 2019.
This morning, at the Peace Palace, the Cambodian Premier met with visiting Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament H.E. Ms. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Former President of Timor Leste and Eminent Person of the G7+ H.E. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, Deputy Speaker of Pakistani National Assembly H.E. Qasim Khan Suri, and former Pakistani Prime Minister H.E. Syed Yusuf Gilani.
According to his official Facebook page, in the meetings, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the foreign guests for their participation in the 2nd Asia Pacific Summit in Cambodia, which contributed to the success of this historical event.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister and his guests exchanged views on the promotion of the relations and cooperation between their countries both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, especially in the Asia-Pacific framework.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen affirmed to continue working with other member countries of Mekong-Ganga Cooperation on the request of Bangladesh to be part of the mechanism.
For Timor Leste, the Cambodian Prime Minister expressed his hope that this country will become a new member of ASEAN during the ASEAN Summit to be hosted by Vietnam next year, and pledged to help Timor Leste in capacity building in order to become a member of World Trade Organisation.
The talks with H.E. Qasim Khan Suri and H.E. Syed Yusuf Gilani touched upon future cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, education, and culture as well as that in regional framework.
H.E. Syed Yusuf Gilani highly valued Samdech Techo Hun Sen's leadership which has brought about fast progress to Cambodia in a short period of time.
