A delegation of the ASEAN-China prosecutors-general led by H.E. Ms. Hajah Zuraini Binti Haji Sharbawi, Solicitor-General of Brunei Darussalam, has paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
The courtesy meeting took place in Siem Reap provincial city this morning, prior to the opening ceremony of the 12th ASEAN-China Prosecutors-General Conference being hosted by Cambodia under the theme of The Role of Prosecutors in Regionally Combating Human Trafficking, according to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier.
On the occasion, H.E. Ms. Hajah Zuraini Binti Haji Sharbawi briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the two-day conference, saying that it is aimed to deepen the ASEAN-China cooperation in combating against all cross-border crimes, especially human trafficking.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his warm welcome to the prosecutors-general and spoke highly of the conference's theme, stressing that is a right topic because this is what we need to do to help and protect the innocents from exploitation against them.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen hoped that the prosecutors-general of ASEAN and China will further strengthen their cooperation against cross-border crimes.
