Cambodian PM Leaves for Official Visit in Lao PDR

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, departed here this morning to pay an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) on Dec. 5-6, 2018, at the invitation of H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

The Premier was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and many other senior government officials as well as representatives of the Embassy of Lao PDR in Cambodia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during the visit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will pay separate courtesy calls on H.E. Bounnhang Vorachith, President of Lao PDR, and H.E. Mrs. Pany Yathotou, President of National Assembly of Lao PDR.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen will hold official talks with H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith to explore the possibilities to further strengthen and expand the existing bilateral cooperation for tangible benefits of the peoples of the two countries as well to exchange views on regional and international issues of common concerns and mutual interests.

While staying in Vientiane, the Cambodian Premier will lay wreath at the Unknown Soldiers Monument.

After Lao PDR, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will continue his visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam from Dec. 6 to 8, during which he will pay separate courtesy calls on Vietnamese top leaders, including H.E. President Nguyen Phu Trong, and National Assembly President H.E. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The Cambodian Prime Minister will have bilateral meeting and a working breakfast with his Vietnamese counterpart H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries as well as to discuss various bilateral, regional, and international issues of common interests and concerns for the mutual benefits of the two nations.

While staying in Hanoi, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will lay wreaths at the Memorial of National Heroes and Martyrs and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Besides, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will attend the high-level business dialogue between Cambodia and Viet Nam and receive a courtesy call by Cambodia-Viet Nam Association.
