A high-level delegation of Cambodian National Assembly (NA) led by its President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin arrived in Vientiane this morning for a three-day official and friendly visit in Lao PDR.
Following his arrival, Samdech Heng Samrin held a bilateral talk with his Lao counterpart H.E. Ms. Pany Yathotou at the National Convention Centre.
The visit is aimed to further tightening the friendship and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, especially between their legislative bodies.
Beside the bilateral talk with his Lao counterpart, Samdech Heng Samrin is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Lao top leaders including Prime Minister H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith and President H.E. Bounhang Vorachit.
After ending his visit in Lao PDR on June 23, Samdech Heng Samrin and his entourage will continue their trip to Vietnam until June 26.
In Vietnam, the Cambodian NA president will meet with Vietnamese top leaders as well as take part in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Vietnam and in the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Front Presidium Conference.
