Cambodian delegation has attended the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)'s 32th meeting on Universal Periodic Review (UPR) round III for Cambodia in Geneva, Switzerland.
The senior delegation was led by H.E. Keo Remy, Delegate Minister attached to the Prime Minister and President of Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC).
In the meeting taking place on Jan. 30, H.E. Keo Remy underlined good progress of human rights situation in Cambodia, adding that improvement has been made in all sectors.
After Cambodia accepted the 162 recommendations from the 2nd UPR meeting in 2014, he added, the government has been working hard to promote human rights and freedom in the country.
The delegate minister also underlined that the Royal Government of Cambodia is very open in addressing the human rights issues.
Hearing the update, other UNHRC member states expressed their appreciation of Cambodia's efforts in promoting human rights in the country.
