Three cities in Cambodia obtained the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand late last week, said the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism in a news release.
Battambang, Kep, and Siem Reap cities are among the 23 awardees of the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award, it pointed out.
Besides, it added, among the 47 recipients of the ASEAN Green Hotel Award, there are five Cambodian hotels and resorts � Knai Bang Chatt in Kep; Green Village, Natural Paradise; Sokhalay Angkor Resort in Siem Reap; Nataya Roundhouse Coral Bay in Kampot; and Villa Langka Boutique in Phnom Penh.
In addition, five more hotels in Cambodia won the ASEAN MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) Venue Award, while the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award 2018 was presented to Wat Phnom in Phnom Penh capital and Kep Pepper Farm.
