Cambodia's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon held talks here last Friday with Mr. Arnaud Darc, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF)'s news release, the meeting mainly touched on agro-processing industry.
H.E. Veng Sakhon briefed his guest on the current situation of the agricultural sector as well as the potential of rice, cassava, and cashew nut for export.
For the agro-processing industry, he added, the production is still limited, but the Royal Government has been working hard to improve key supporting infrastructure and attract more investment.
Mr. Arnaud Darc lauded Cambodia's progress in the agricultural field and invited H.E. Veng Sakhon to preside over a public forum in the future.
According to Mr. Arnaud Darc, some 350 companies have been investing in Cambodia in different sectors through EuroCham.
H.E. Veng Sakhon accepted the invitation and affirmed the MAFF's support and readiness to cooperate with EuroCham.
