Two Cambodian culinary students have obtained two medals - a silver and a bronze - in the 2019 China-ASEAN Culinary Skill Competition for Students from Vocational Colleges, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.
The competition took place in Nanning province, China on Sept. 19-21, with the participation of culinary students from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong of China.
The two medalists are Mr. Ngay Sokheng, who won the silver medal, and Mr. Lam Rithy, the bronze medal, in the European cuisine event.
This success shows the capacity and skills of Cambodian culinary students and chefs in enhancing the culinary quality and services, contributing to the development of Cambodia's gastronomy sector, underlined the ministry.
