Cambodia To Reduce the Number of Orphans

Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen said the Royal Government has been trying to reduce the number of orphans.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of SOS Children's Village in Kampot province this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the royal government is committed to reducing the number of road accidents, to continuing mine and UXO clearance, and to preventing transmitted diseases which killed many people, thus leaving many orphans.

Before, due to civil war, there were a lot of orphans, but now it is not the main cause, he added.
