Royal Government of Cambodia is opening more trade centres at big cities of the People's Republic of China to showcase Cambodian products.
The update was shared by Director General of Trade Promotion General Department, Ministry of Commerce, H.E. Seang Thay in a recent workshop here in Phnom Penh.
The trade centres will be launched in Beijing, Shanghai, Macao, Yunnan, and beyond, he said.
In 2017, Cambodia opened two trade centres in Guangzhou city of Guangdong province and Xi'an city of Shaanxi province.
According to the director general, trade centres played a crucial role in promoting Cambodia's economy, commerce, investment and tourism sectors.
Record from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) indicates that China was ranked the first among countries with foreign direct investments in Cambodia since 1994.
To date, China's investment capital in Cambodia has been increased to nearly US$15 billion.
