Cambodia To Host the First International Conference on Sustainable Tourism and Heritage Cities in June

The First International Conference on Sustainable Tourism and Heritage Cities will be held in Siem Reap province, home of the World Heritage Site of Angkor, from June 10-15, 2017, said the Ministry of Tourism in a news release.

Organised by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and UNESCO, this international event will be presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and attended by tourism ministers under the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) framework from more than 30 countries as well as many other partners.

According to the UNESCO's website, the main objective of this international conference is to share knowledge, expertise and ideas based on professional experiences in order to work collaboratively to build livable and sustainable cities.
