Cambodia to Face Flashfloods and Gusts This Week

Cambodia would face flash floods and gusts from Oct. 6 to 12, announced the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) in a new weather forecast released this morning.

Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Kandal, Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kampong Speu, Takeo, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Kampong Cham, Thbong Khmum, Koh Kong, and Preah Sihanouk would be the affected areas, it pointed out.

MOWRAM thus appealed people to increase their vigilance of the possible phenomena.

For the temperature, MOWRAM added, it would vary between 21 and 30 degrees Celsius for the provinces in the central lowland areas, from 19 to 27 degrees Celsius for the provinces next to the Dangrek mountain range and highland areas in the northeast, and between 21 and 27 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas.
