Cambodia is organising an official ceremony to cheer the achievement of 10 million passengers at Phnom Penh International Airport, according to local media report.
As quoted in the source, a senior official of the flight promotion section Mr. Pich Sopon Dara underlined that the event will take place in December this year � the timing that Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports will have served 10 million air travellers.
The official credited Cambodia's social and political stability as well as rapid development contributing significantly to increasing visitors to the country for the achievement.
While Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports will hit the peak, he added, Preah Sihanouk province's Kang Keng International Airport is expected to have welcomed about 700,000 passengers by the close of this year.
There are currently more than 30 airlines operating in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports, and 7 airlines in Kang Keng International Airport � these are the three airports of the Kingdom.
