Cambodia, Thailand To Hold 13th GBC Meeting Next Week

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand are going to hold the 13th General Border Committee Meeting (GBC) in Bangkok, Thailand on Mar. 20-21, 2018, said the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence in a press release issued yesterday.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, will lead a delegation to attend this forthcoming annual meeting, at the invitation of his Thai counterpart H.E. Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon.

According to the press release, the 13th GBC Meeting will focus on the strengthening of relations and enhancement of cooperation between the two countries' armies in order to tighten the friendship and expand cooperation in the areas of security, development, and prevention and crackdown on illegal acts as well as to ensure peace, stability, security and development along the common border.

The 12th GBC Meeting took place in Siem Reap province of Cambodia in March 2017.
