Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has stricken a deal with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand on the crackdown of cross-border technology crimes.

A memorandum of understanding for the deal was signed here on Monday between H.E. Chea Vandeth, Cambodian Minister of Post and Telecommunications and H.E. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, Thai Minister of Digital Economy and Society.

Under the agreement, the two parties aim to strengthen bilateral relations to jointly prevent and address transnational technology crimes.

Cambodia and Thailand have reaffirmed optimism that the cooperation will enhance the exchange of information between the relevant institutions, and increase the effectiveness of tackling online scams.
