Senior officials from relevant ministries have discussed cooperation strategy for 2018-2021 with the Swiss counterpart.
Facilitated by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the discussion on the so-called Swiss Cooperation Strategy for Cambodia 2018-2021 took place recently here in Phnom Penh.
According to H.E. Chheang Yanara, Delegate Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of Cambodian Rehabilitation and Development Board, in the framework of Mekong region, the development priorities brought to the table include agriculture and food security, governance and citizen participation, and vocational skill development and employment.
The focused areas, added H.E. Chheang Yanana, are very well aligned with the national development strategic plan of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Director of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Mrs. Rohel Boesh led the Swiss delegation for the discussion meeting.
Figures from the Council for the Development of Cambodia showed that between 2002 and 2016, the Government of Switzerland provided grant aid of about US$80 million to Cambodia.
