Cambodia has supported concept papers on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, the establishment of ASEAN Military Medicine Conference (AMMC), and Guideline for Maritime Interaction, at the 13th ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) in Thailand.
According to the news release of Ministry of National Defence, the support was amplified by Samdech Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, while attending the 13th ADMM, on July 11, 2019.
Regarding the concept paper on IUU fishing, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, pointed out the difficulty, complexity and huge scope in fishing management, and was positive that the paper will be a foundation for technical officials to carry out in-depth and precise discussion to achieve common interests for all.
For AMMC concept paper, the defence minister considered it an ease to manage, follow up and update all activities under one framework of the institution of national defence.
Samdech Tea Banh also spoke highly of the usefulness of the concept paper on Guideline for Maritime Interaction for joint interests of ASEAN.
Samdech Tea Banh attended the 13th ADMM, being held in Bangkok, from July 10-12, 2019, at the invitation of his Thai counterpart H.E. Prawit Wongsuwan.
