State-run Cambodia Post generated in total US$6.5 million as revenue in 2019, according to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication (MPT).
The figure represents a sharp decline from the US$13 million revenue in 2019.
The drop in revenue was much related to the coronavirus pandemic, said H.E. Ouk Bora, Director-General of Cambodia Post, in a meeting held at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications on Jan. 20.
“The Cambodia Post’s service depends on air transport and once the commercial airlines have been affected by the COVID-19, the service of Cambodia Post was also hit hard,” he said.
Cambodia Post has distribution partners in 192 countries and offers a range of postal services, including express delivery and package tracking.
