On-going urbanisation in all down town areas in Cambodia is estimated to drive the demand for nearly one million units of housing between 2015 and 2030.
The estimation was shared recently by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction H.E. Chea Sophara when presiding over the inauguration of Global House Centre here in Phnom Penh.
Cambodia's population growth, he added, also contributes to the rising demand which is around 50,000 housing units annually on average.
According to ministry's record, Cambodia has now 1,100 buildings of more than five floors and 230 locations of Borey (group of residential houses).
