Cambodia, Indonesia Discusses Bilateral Cooperation

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received visiting Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs of Indonesia H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh this morning.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan exchanged views on the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of military, economy, agriculture, and tourism.

H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also affirmed to encourage the Lion Air, an Indonesian low-cost airline based in Jakarta, to operate direct flight to Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke highly of the cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister requested Indonesia to invest in Cambodia on rice growing for export. Regarding the direct flight, he suggested the Indonesian side to make it real as soon as possible as it will not only boost the economic, trade and tourism connection, but also the people-to-people connection between both nations.
